This is the drink that started it all. Our founder, Chat Phillips, first enjoyed this barley tea as a college student in the countryside of northern Japan after traveling for 24 hours in the dead of summer. Known as mugicha in Japan, boricha in Korea, and damaicha in China, barley tea has been used for centuries to bring people together. It is made by gently simmering roasted barley (and in our case, a hint of roasted corn) until the resulting tea is fragrant and delicious.
